John C. Kornitzer, CEO
John C. Kornitzer is Founder and CEO of Kornitzer Capital Management (KCM) and the Buffalo Funds, KCM’s mutual fund group. He also serves as a Portfolio Manager working with equity and fixed income portfolios. Prior to founding KCM, Mr. Kornitzer was Vice President of Investments for Employers Reinsurance Corp (ERC). He joined ERC in 1978, and managed assets for the company through acquisitions by Getty Oil, Texaco and finally General Electric Investment Corporation (GEIC), where he ran investment portfolios for ERC and GEIC until founding KCM in 1989. Kornitzer’s extensive experience also includes 11 years on Wall Street; seven years for Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc. and four years as Vice President and managing partner of Butcher & Singer’s New York region.
   
Jeff Deardorff, CFA
Mr. Deardorff is a Research Analyst working with fixed income and equity portfolios. His research focuses on the Financials sector. He has 14 years of investment experience and holds a BS in Finance from Kansas State University.
   
David Levenhagen, CFA
Mr. Levenhagen is a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager working with equity portfolios. His research focuses on Industrials, Commodities and Consumer-related stocks. He has eight years of investment experience and holds an MBA in Finance from Indiana University and a BS in Business Management from Kettering University (formerly GMI Engineering & Management Institute).
   
Scott Moore, CFA
Mr. Moore is a Research Analyst working with both equity and fixed income portfolios. His focus areas include Energy and Materials. He has 12 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from the University of Missouri at Kansas City and a BS in Business Administration from the University of Missouri at Columbia.
